Chief Freddie Barnhill, callsign 572, is the Chief of Haletown Fire Department. He has made it his personal goal to maintain the safety of the firefighters under his command, as well as to protect the public. He serves by helping his firefighters perform their duties to the best of their abilities safely. "I believe there are many professional attributes to being a chief. Things like excellence, dedication, service, honor, integrity, strength, and leadership."
Haletown Engine 1 is our local response vehicle. This apparatus carries 1,000 gallons of water and has a foam induction system. Engine 1 is a smaller firetruck more suited for backroads and hard-to-reach locations, and carries equipment needed to fight vehicle and structure fires.

March 1st of 2023 Haletown Fire Department reenacted the department’s subscription-based service at a rate of $35 a year per residence.
Haletown has been using a third-party billing system to bill for response called Fire Recovery. We want to give you, our community, a chance to bypass an unneeded bill. For a simple annual subscription fee of $35 this can be accomplished.
